- Abstract
Presents a research report that maintains that synthetic peptides containing the arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD) motif are able to directly induce cellular apoptosis by promoting the production of caspase-3 without any requirement for integrin-mediated cell clustering or signals. Use of the RGD motif as an inhibitor in integrin-ligand interactions; Study use of the breast carcinoma cell line MCF-7.
