- Abstract
INTRODUÇÃO A Norma Brasileira de Comercialização de Alimentos para Lactentes e Crianças de Primeira Infância, Bicos, Chupetas e Mamadeiras – NBCAL, corresponde a um conjunto de regulamentações sobre a promoção comercial e a rotulagem de alimentos e produtos destinados a lactentes e crianças de primeira infância, que tem por objetivo assegurar o uso apropriado desses produtos de forma que não haja interferência na prática do aleitamento materno. A indústria se utiliza de estratégias de persuasão voltadas aos profissionais de saúde como forma de realizar seu marketing, incentivando e envolvendo estes para a divulgação dos produtos. Apoiar, proteger e promover o aleitamento materno é papel de todos os profissionais da saúde, e aqueles que conhecem e aplicam a NBCAL ajudam a reduzir o poder de alcance do marketing abusivo de fórmulas infantis. MÉTODOS Estudo transversal, realizado por meio de questionário Google Forms autopreenchido, com profissionais de saúde do Brasil, de ambos os sexos e idade ≥20 anos. Foram coletadas variáveis socioeconômicas e demográficas, e o conhecimento sobre a NBCAL foi avaliado por meio de questões múltipla-escolha e/ou multi-resposta, que contabilizavam o máximo de 51 acertos. O grau de conhecimento foi categorizado em: pouco (25 a 55% de acertos), regular (50% a 75%) ou bom conhecimento (75% a 100%). Foi realizada análise bivariada pelo teste qui-quadrado de Person e considerado significativo p<0,05. O estudo foi aprovado pelo CEP Saúde da UFMT (parecer n° 4.720.472). RESULTADOS Participaram do estudo 86 profissionais de saúde, sendo 40,7% (n=35) nutricionistas e 33,7% (n=29) enfermeiros(as). A maioria era mulheres (95,3%,n=82), de raça/cor branca (58,1%,n=50), que residiam no Centro-Oeste (50%,n=43) e possuíam alguma pós)graduação (77,9%;n=67). Sobre o conhecimento da NBCAL, houve uma variação de 14 a 50 acertos, sendo que 19,8% (n=17) dos profissionais foram classificados com “pouco conhecimento”, 54,7% (n=47) com “regular conhecimento” e 25,6% (n=22) com “bom conhecimento”. Entre os profissionais que apresentaram bom conhecimento sobre a NBCAL, 86,4% (n=19) assinalaram ter realizado algum curso/treinamento ou especialização relacionada ao aleitamento materno (p=0,04). CONCLUSÃO Apesar da minoria dos profissionais ser classificado como “pouco conhecimento”, a maioria só possuia um conhecimento regular sobre a NBCAL. Foi observada uma associação positiva entre o conhecimento da NBCAL e o fato de terem realizado cursos, treinamento e/ou especializações sobre aleitamento materno. O estudo demonstrou que ainda há uma deficiência de conhecimento por parte dos profissionais de saúde quanto ao conteúdo e aplicação da NBCAL, o que pode implicar em suas atitudes pessoais e profissionais ao se encontrarem em um cenário em que a prática do aleitamento materno está em pauta. É importante que a NBCAL seja mais amplamente divulgada e estudada pelos profissionais de saúde.
