- Abstract
A total of 46 species of water beetles were recorded during the inventory survey of six nature reserves/monuments with wetland habitats in the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. The survey took place in 2019 and 2020 and yielded six species that figure in the Red List of Threatened Species of the Czech Republic: Graptodytes bilineatus, Helophorus asperatus, Hydraena schuleri and Laccobius obscuratus are classified as nearly threatened and Hydraena morio together with Helochares lividus belong to the category of vulnerable species. The occurrence of five species of water beetles, which have not yet been published from this area, was found out: Agabus nebulosus (Dytiscidae), Helophorus asperatus and Helophorus nubilus (Helophoridae), Hydrochus crenatus (Hydrochidae) and Berosus luridus (Hydrophilidae).
