- Abstract
The article presents a study which compares the data acquired from the Maritime Aerosol Network (MAN) to the global aerosol models and satellite retrievals. The MAN has been deployed as a component of the Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) to provide accurate aerosol optical depth (AOD) measurements. The measurement areas in the study are highlighted which include the Atlantic Ocean, South Indian Ocean and the Arctic Ocean.
