The article looks at the relation between Baptists and atheism. The author questions whether Baptists and Jews have any reason to be concerned about aggressive atheistic developments. He argues that while Baptists must defend the right of people to adopt atheistic positions, they must also recognize the growing patterns of secularism and hedonism that deny God strike at the heart and soul of the totality of Baptist history, theology and experience.
