- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 76 year old patient who presented to physicians for a routine follow-up echocardiography test for a CarboMedics bileaflet mechanical prosthesis that had been implanted in the patient eight years earlier. A discussion of a new unusual linear central regurgitant jet which was discovered in the patient by transesophageal echocardiography is presented.
