- Abstract
An interview with Rear Admiral Lai Chung Han, chief of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) as of May 2015, is presented. Lai Chung Han discusses the tasks of the RSN, the modernisation of military equipment, and the signing of a contract with naval vessels provider Thyssenkrupp Marine System GmBH for two Type 218SG submarines acquisition. He also discusses RSN's use of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and support on the U.S. Navy's Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) deployment in the country.
