- Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of the 1948 Arab-Jew conflict in Israel. Accordingly, the result of the war marks the independence of the country. Through the enactment of legislations such as the Absentee Property Law of 1950 and the Land Acquisition Law of 1953, most Arab properties were wrested from its original owners, regardless of whether they were present in the country or not. Also during the period, the country saw the development of a literary tradition that galvanized thousands of young Palestinians and Arabs who manifested their national and spiritual attachment to Palestine.
