- Abstract
The article presents a reprint of the article "Medical History and Non-Medical Writers," which originally appeared in the journal on March 27, 1909. The author discusses instances when gaps in medical history can be filled by chance references found in the non-medical literature penned by non-medical authors. Several examples related to medical history and surgical procedure are cited from sources such as the Greek philosopher Plato, Martial, and Dioscorides.
