- Abstract
The article presents a study related to encode of stimuli by sensory systems. It offers information on molecular and circuit mechanisms through which Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) interprets oxygen concentration for producing both transient and long-lasting behaviors. It is mentioned that when exposed to higher or lower oxygen concentrations, C. elegans responds in several ways with changes in speed and turns which may help the worm to navigate through oxygen gradients.
