- Abstract
The article reports that officials of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration object to the agency's policy to advocate that drug approval preempt patients from suing in state tort liability cases involving harm from drugs. U.S. Representative Henry Waxman, chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, released the report about the rejections on October 30, 2008.
