- Title
AIDS Vitamin "Therapy" Ruling.
- Abstract
The article reports on a ruling by a South African court prohibiting Doctor Matthias Rath from marketing vitamin and micronutrient products as treatments for HIV and AIDS. Rath also made claims that antiretroviral drugs were toxic. The court overruled the claim made by Doctor Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, South Africa's Minister of Health, that Rath's products were foodstuffs and therefor remained outside the regulatory powers of the government's Medicine Control Council.
