- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the function of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes CYP2C19 or CYP2B6 in the bioactivation cyclophosphamide. The study uses the combination of in vitro-in vivo approach to be able to identify the pharmacogenes CYP2C19 or CYP2B6 within the 4-hydroxy cyclophosphamide (4-OHCP). The study shows that the existing alleles of CYP2C19 or CYP2B6 are demonstrated to be caused by the decrease in the bioactivation of cyclophosphamide.
