- Abstract
The article presents an approach to the issue of the promotion of critical and creative thinking in preschool age, considering some contributions from neuropsicopedagogy. A study with qualitative approach and descriptive level was used. The systematic search of bibliographic sources allowed to identify some contributions for the understanding of the cognitive processes involved in the processes of critical and creative thinking from the neuroscience studies and, secondly, delimit some orientations for methodological strategies for the promoting of thinking in preschool age. There were established three focus points relevant in the teaching practices for the critical and creative thinking: promotion of semantic/conceptual, strategical and emotional-motivational networks. At the same time, it is necessary to consider for the design of methodological strategies, on the one hand, the essential aspects of the formation processes of higher psychic functions, and, on the other hand, the specific characteristics of cognitive development in preschool age.
