- Authors
Frazier, David
- Abstract
The article focuses on the arrest of artist Lee Guo-min in Taipei, Taiwan. The artist was one of a few that were forcibly evicted from the artist village called Treasure Hill. Many of the residents of Treasure Hill are veterans of the Chinese civil war, and Lee's photographs, featured at the Venice Biennale exhibition, focus on the residents of the artist community. Reportedly, the local government is closing down the neighborhood due to the deteriorating structures.
