- Abstract
Background and purpose: coronary artery disease is one of the major causes of death worldwide and analysis of survival data is important in this patients. The Cox model not only calculates the hazard function but also introduces the other significant variables. Materials and methods: 128 patients referred to Mazandaran Heart center from 1383 to 1385 and treated by angioplasty were followed till 1390 for major complications. Results: The time of hospitalization after angioplasty, positive familial history and Diabetus Mellitus were variables that Cox Model showed them significant. Conclusion: According to our findings and the findings of the previous studies, the risk of restenosis in patients treated by angioplasty increases by the time. The survival of the patients decreases considerably after 60 months. Hazard rate increases severely after 70 month.
