- Abstract
The article discusses that the Charter of the United Nations in its Article 33 has imposed on all the states of the world to seek peaceful resolution of any disputes by negotiation, inquiry, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial settlement, resort to regional agencies, or arrangements of their choice. The decision is made for the maintenance of international peace and security. Any procedure does not bind the states for resolving disputes unless they consent.
