The article presents an addendum to the article "Chinese Hamster Ovary Cells can Produce Galactose-α-1, 3 Galactose Antigens on Proteins," by Carlos J. Bosques and colleagues that was published in the November 5, 2010 online issue in which it is said that the mechanism of activation of the α-(1,3)-galactosyltransferase in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells is yet to be determined.
