Expression of Concern: A Potential Role for the Interaction of Wolbachia Surface Proteins with the Brugia malayi Glycolytic Enzymes and Cytoskeleton in Maintenance of Endosymbiosis.
- Abstract
The article titled "Expression of Concern: A Potential Role for the Interaction of Wolbachia Surface Proteins with the Brugia malayi Glycolytic Enzymes and Cytoskeleton in Maintenance of Endosymbiosis" published in PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases has raised concerns about Figure 4. The concerns are related to similar repeating patterns in the background of lanes 2 and 4, despite representing different experimental conditions. The corresponding author stated that the underlying data for this article is no longer available and has been deleted according to institutional data retention guidelines. Due to the absence of the data, the concern cannot be resolved, and the editors of PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases have issued an Expression of Concern.
