Title
KIWI PRESCRIPTION SUCCESSFUL.
Abstract
The article reports on the success of exercise prescription programmes in New Zealand. The research examined the effectiveness of an exercise on prescription scheme on less active women aged 40-74 over two years and after 24 months 39.3% of intervention participants and 32.8% of control participants were achieving 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. It shows that exercise promotion through general practice can change behaviour.
