- Abstract
The article analyzes the nature and context of birth registration problems experienced by the native people of Australia. It reviews the legislations of Victoria and international human rights law in this context. Topics include birth registration rules in Victoria, human rights treaties recognizing the right to birth registration, and Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration in New South Wales. It also discusses the report of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs committee.
