Tibetans, supporters fast and pray for compassion in Chinese oppressors.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the prayer and fasting event held by Tibetans and free Tibet supporters at the Tsuglakhang in Dharamsala, India on August 30, 2008. The event, conducted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., was set up by the Kashag and the Tibet Parliament-in-Exile to mark the last day of the sixth month of the Tibetan Earth-Mouse Year. It was considered as a universal prayer service for world peace, happiness of humanity and as a way to instill compassion in the minds of oppressors.
