- Abstract
The article reports on the hastened Olympic torch relay at the guarded streets in Lhasa, China. According to the article, the two hour event was strictly guarded due to reports that the Tibetan people would conduct demonstrations during the ceremony. In addition, Zhang Qingli of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) stated that China's ruling on the region will not change despite the cliques formed by the Dalai Lama.
