The article focuses on the common work of two English Renaissance playwrights Thomas Dekker and John Marston. It notes that Dekker and Marston represent the highest degree of London's public and private theaters in style, temperament, and philosophy. It provides an overview of the comparison on Dekker and Marston's literary relations as well as their patterns of textual and contextual influence between single authorship and collaboration and rivalry and cooperation.
