- Abstract
This is a study of the elements of Eros and Thanatos as fundamental and energizing phenomena of the world of fictional characters in various stories by the Colombian writer Germán Espinosa. The literary characters and their existential evolution in the different stories analyzed reflect the human condition as they are subjected to a number of social and moral interdictions that, once confronted, project the fragility and enigmatic condition of man with respect to existence itself and Additionally, the article analyzes how Espinosa's aesthetic language questions the most profound mysteries of the behavior of modern man.
