- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the precise estimation of the age of basic rocks and to analyze its variations within the unified dyke swarm. The study uses the K-Ar method to obtain most of the isotopic age data of the basite dyke swarms of Prisayan and Baikal uplifts as well as the Anabar Shield and Aldan-Stanovoy Shield. It conducts the age data for the dyke, which was performed in the southern end of the swarm nearby Khibelen Cape. Results present two conclusions, first, the extension processes in the Baikal uplift starts in the northern part then moved to the southwest of the Khibelen Cape, and second, the age of the basites of Baikal uplift is same with the age of dykes of East Anabar dyke swarm in Anabar Shield and Timpton-Algama dyke swarm in Aldan-Stanovoy Shield.
