- Abstract
We have reviewed 25 cases of subclavian artery obstruction, some of them with associated carotid, vertebral and innominate artery obstruction. Eighteen of the patients underwent surgery with the following results: good, 14; fair, 2; 1 died of pseudomonas septicemia; 1 has no follow-up and 7 patients were not operated upon for different reasons already mentioned. Physicians in general should be aware of the frequency of this condition and the appropriate diagnostic procedures; namely, aortography with visualization in full length of all supraortic branches should be carried out.
