- Abstract
The article details a study which examined the abundance of apple maggot fly Rhagoletic pomonella across central Washington in relation to non-commercial apple (Malus domestica and native black-fruited hawthorns. The study revealed that Rhagolectic pomonella is unlikely to develop high populations near major commercial apple-growing areas in central Washington, including in black-fruited hawthorns.
