Title
Nanobarriers.
Abstract
The article discusses the development of medical fabrics by Polymer Group Inc. in the U.S. that have improved barrier performance without affecting their weight, making them suitable for medical gowns and drapes. The fabric is consolidated from a strong and durable substrate layer and a nanofiber layer. The substrate layer may be chosen from synthetic and natural materials or blends. The barrier layer consists of nanofibers of infinite length.
