- Title
Venous thromboembolism in cancer: What is the optimal treatment?
- Authors
Posner, Jana; Rizzolo, Denise
- Abstract
The article focuses on the optimal treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients diagnosed with cancer. The authors mention that VTE in cancer patients can be managed with warfarin therapy, in which warfarin serves as an antithrombptic agent that reduces prothrombonin levels. However, they state that low molecular weight therapin (LMWH) or unfractioned herapin (UH) is the optimal treatment for VTE.
