- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates whether the initiation of antihypertensive therapy decrease incidence of stroke or cardiovascular mortality in patients who are above 80 years old. Result shows that treatment of hypertension was lacking in the very elderly. It suggests that indapamide dosage is needed to be increased or an ACE inhibitor should be added to patients' regimen in order to reach the target blood pressure as well as monitoring the patient's fluid intake and output.
