- Title
Experts call for national immunization registry, coordinated schedules.
- Authors
Eggertson, Laura
- Abstract
The article reports on the call of the Canadian Public Health Association, along with immunologists and pediatricians, for a national immunization registry and harmonized vaccination schedules so that no one would miss a vaccine despite of where they live. Doctor Ian Gemmill states that the registry and the harmonized schedules should be part of a renewed national immunization strategy. Furthermore, the need for an electronic database to determine what vaccines were missed is discussed.
