- Abstract
The article is a review of the book "Sexual Misconduct in Academia: Informing an Ethics of Care in the University" edited by Erin Pritchard and Delyth Edwards. The book was published by Routledge in 2023 but was pulled from publication in response to an alleged defamation suit threat. The review highlights the importance of the book in elevating the voices of early-career researchers and staff who experience sexual assault in academia. It emphasizes the need to challenge the patriarchal structures that perpetuate gender-based violence and the importance of speaking out against abuse. The review also criticizes Routledge for silencing the authors and covering up the abuse described in the book.
