- Abstract
The article focuses on the first inventory of crop wild relatives (CWRs) or weeds in the U.S which was published in the journal Crop Science. It says that CWRs are considered as important sources of genetic material that could be used in aid of crops to adapt to future climates. It states that inventory could be used by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service (USFS), and Bureau of Land Management to coordinate in situ and ex situ plant conservation strategies.
