- Title
Making information meaningful.
- Authors
Lymn, Nadine; Bednarek, Angela; Kearns, Faith
- Abstract
The authors reflect on the need for ecologists to adopt science communication to disseminate information effectively and address environment-related problems. They say that no matter how good the presentation of data is, it does not guarantee that consumers will use it as it depends on one's ideological views. The authors say that communication does not only involve listening but also talking. The authors add that cooperation with other social scientists will be a main part of the solution.
