- Abstract
The article discusses immigrant worker behavior and its relationship to occupational safety health. Immigration status is observed to have a significant aspect in showing worker behavior. A "chilling effect" for immigrants is associated in the case of Hoffman Plastic Compounds, Inc. with its laid off undocumented worker, Jose Castro. Several factors that affect immigrant worker behavior include economic status and economic security, language ability and literacy, and culture.
