- Authors
Loeffler, Toby Henry
- Abstract
This article examines history, memory, landscape and the reconstruction of Englishness in the works of Ford Madox Ford. According to the author, Ford, in his tetralogy "Parade's End," takes a look back from the 1920 over the years surrounding World War I and highlights the deterioration of social institutions in England. The author notes that Ford's abstract conceptualization of man and maid remain as they should be and represent solidity and persistence.
