- Abstract
Objective: To analyze the obstetric nursing research literatures in China, explore the status quo, research hotspots, and development trend of obstetric nursing, and provide a theoretical basis for clinical work and scientific research. Methods: Using literature metrology CiteSpace III software, the source was retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) with the keyword "maternity nursing". Analyzed the related research literature of maternity nursing in China from 1981-2016. Results: A total of 3 282 obstetric nursing related literatures were retrieved, and the literatures amount increased in three - step rising trend. Wuxi maternity and child health care hospital in Jiangsu province was the institution published the maximum paper. 67. 7% of the authors published only 1 literature. The obstetric nursing knowledge map extended in three directions with the high - frequency keywords " nursing staff" "breastfeeding" "spontaneous labor" and "primipara", in which "nursing intervention" and "humanized nursing" were the high -intensity emergent words. Conclusion: There was little cooperation between the authors and the publishing institutions of obstetric nursing literatures, and a core research team should be formed to keep paying attention to obstetric nursing research. Nursing staff, breastfeeding, spontaneous labor, cesarean section, and health education were the research hotspots of obstetric nursing, and the quality control circle and humanized nursing were the development trend.
