The author, a high school science teacher from Pennsylvania, discusses her constructivist and inquiry based teaching methods for allowing students to discover and correct their own faulty beliefs. Classroom activities for physics classes, the emotional aspects of education, and formative assessment are discussed, as well as supportive classroom environments, group work in class, and questioning.
