Title
Polar Ice Sheets.
Abstract
The article highlights a research by Princeton and Harvard Universities scientists that even medium global warming scenarios can cause polar ice sheets to melt in a large-scale. The research included geological sea-level indicators during a period known as the last interglacial stage, in which temperature recorded were 3-5 degrees warmer compared to 2010. The researchers concluded that during the last interglacial stage, there is a 95% chance that sea level will be 22 feet higher than its level in 2010.
