- Abstract
The strong green fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) with the upconversion property have been directly synthesized using ammonium citrate, NH3·H2O, and H2O2 as the precursors in aqueous solution through a simple hydrothermal process. The synthesized green fluorescent CDs also show excellent upconversion property and can be directly used for live HeLa cell imaging without any further modifications.
