- Abstract
The article discusses research on the relationship between the hydrogeology of coal mines located in China and its mine water inrush disasters classified as ordinary, major and grave. Topics covered include factors affecting hydrogeological classification such as water inflow, water hazards and water management, reasons behind water accidents citing lack of understanding on complexity, prospecting and dewatering, and an overview of the coal mines considered as complex, medium and simple.
