- Abstract
The article examines tokusatsu films and television series and how they relate to and depict atomic bomb victims. Particular focus is given to monsters and aliens in these works, including "Shin Gojira," a movie featuring the monster Godzilla, the television series "Urutora Sebun," and the 1957 film "The Mysterians." Additional topics discussed include how most of atomic bomb literature focuses upon the experiences of female and child victims and insights on gender representation and reproduction experiences in Japanese culture.
