- Abstract
The article focuses on a clinical trial which revealed that the addition of a hormone-suppressing drug to chemotherapy can help prevent premature menopause in patients diagnosed with hormone-insensitive breast cancer. Topics discussed include importance of preserving fertility among younger women diagnosed with cancer, the addition of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) goserelin to chemotherapy, and symptoms of chemotherapy-induced menopause.
