- Title
Social networks and memory function.
- Authors
Miller, Michael Craig
- Abstract
The author reflects on the studies published in the "American Journal of Public Health" in July 2008, which suggest that social connections can reduce the chances of developing dementia. He states that the results of the studies were impressive and were able to assess that people with highest levels of social integration interaction were more likely to retain cognitive functioning. However, studies failed to discuss how social integration protects people against cognitive decline.
