- Abstract
This article, published in the Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal, discusses a rare congenital cardiac anomaly called Aortopulmonary Septal Defect (APSD). The article presents a case study of a 12-year-old girl who presented with palpitations and dyspnea on exertion. The CT angiography revealed a defect between the ascending aorta and the pulmonary artery, along with dilated pulmonary arteries. The article provides information about the classification, diagnosis, and treatment options for APSD. It also mentions that APSD can occur in isolation or in association with other congenital heart defects.
