- Abstract
Each art has its own characteristics, and it sculpts artistic images and influences the audience through them. The music is based on the sound organized in melody and rhythm. It mainly affects the sensations, sensitivity, vitality of the person. The relativity of the image in music, the relativity and subjectivity of its perception require prior attitude and preparation of the listener, based on his life, intellectual and cultural experience, so that he can interpret the invisible musical image through their imagination. The proposed material is aimed at the need and importance of preparing future listeners in childhood and primary school age. The topics of the article include: imagination as a cognitive mental process related to reality; development of children's interest in perceived music, through the development and growth of the creative principle embedded in the individual; preparation of an audience in early childhood and primary school age and its conditioning by the life stage of the individual, their interests, motivation, knowledge and wisdom; the role of the school and the teacher in making the necessary progress in shaping and cultivating listening habits in children and students; modelling competencies through music perception. In the kindergarten the foundations of the education are laid, which is upgraded, enriched, expanded, and complicated in the primary school. Without excluding the important role of the family in the intellectual and emotional upbringing of the child, it is necessary to note the mission and importance of children's and primary school education, which through music training contribute to personal and social education of children, their social and public integration. The "embrace" of music with the interest, curiosity and purity of the child's soul, gradually leads to a fruitful accumulation of knowledge and wisdom, forming a spirited personality.
