- Abstract
The objective of this work is to validate a model of organizational predisposition and commitment based on Cohen's theory (2007). The method used was the multivariate technique of Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) in a sample of 184 employees of the maquiladora industry in Cd. Juárez. As a result, there was found evidence that instrumental and normative predisposition have a direct, positive and significant effect on affective and instrumental commitment. The relevance of this finding lies in the contribution of empirical support to the two-dimensional theory proposed by Cohen (2007) and its originality lies in the inclusion of the theories of planned behavior (TCP) and reasoned action (TAR) to study the predisposition for commitment. As limitations, there was the pandemic situation that restricted access to other companies to collect data in sectors of different economic sectors.
