- Abstract
Paraumbilical veins are part of the portocaval anastomotic system and are divided into three groups: the veins of Burow and the superior and inferior veins of Sappey[1] (Figure a). Color Doppler also showed two parallel veins running downward from the UV cluster, with the superficial one draining into the left femoral vein and the deep one into the left external iliac vein (Figure d,e). (b,c) Longitudinal planes showing vein of Burow (BV) connecting UV just below stricture to UV cluster.
