- Abstract
The article discusses the concept of transposon-mediated directed mutation controlled by DNA binding proteins in Escherichia coli. Topics discussed including the skepticism concerning the directed mutation resulted from classical genetics, mutation rates varies with environmental conditions and evolutionary basis for bacterial appearance. Other topics includes mutations in crp cells, depedency of E. coli glycerol with the rate of mutations and binding sites for glycerols.
